I decided to start streaming on Twitch because I loved watching people play “HITMAN (2016)”. It was an amazing community and a fantastic game that I wanted to be a part of. So, I got to setting myself up to be a part of the community but I also wanted to make sure that I properly stood out from the other players.
One thing I noticed was that most of the other streams had production value, but no real theme. So, I took it on myself to center my entire channel around Hitman themed media. I developed a slate for the backdrop of stream announcements and idle chat. I built the logo in 3D using Maya and animated the lights and everything utilizing Element 3D and After Effects.
I also worked up a few .gif files that would play for certain announcements that the chat could trigger.
Lastly, I themed the channel art around the way that HITMAN (2016) looked. The “loading” icon for the game featured deep reds and an animated bar code. So the channel panels were designed like this:
I also created a t-shirt design incorporating the HITMAN (2016) theme and some Hitman: Blood Money, too. You can find that project here.
