Ah, Heritage Art & Frames. A very odd local shop who boasts selling picture frames and, of course, pasta. One of the things the production team and I thrive in is concept based commercial production. So, we took a weird idea for a store and put it into a weird idea for a spot which actually worked amazingly.
Originally the spot was to be made very cookie-cutter-esque with a talking head and explaining verbatim to the viewer exactly what the store told. We took it a completely different route, however, and created a Film Noire piece that told the story of true love the way only frame enthusiasts and pasta consumers could. It remains one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever shot or edited because of how unique and timeless it is.
