Green Screen Projects

Here is a key I am particularly proud of with former Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin. Blonde hair always proves to be an issue if the lights are not properly set.

I love compositing and keying. It is one of my best skills and I find it a unique challenge every time I am faced with a compositing issue. Sometimes the lighting was off, or someone left the studio house lights on, or the subject just happened to be wearing something that didn’t quite want to cooperate with the set up. Green screen shoots are amazing for videos that need a quick turnaround, but they can sometimes be a hassle.

Even if everything else goes right, the final product can still be marred if there is an issue with the subject themselves. The Secretary and Director of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation had a peculiar cowlick on the day of this shoot. I spent a while tracking and masking it out and ended up with a fairly presentable video that needed to be output right away.

I am happy with all of my green screen projects, but I am particularly proud when I nail a certain look. It is an accomplishment by itself and it is a task I constantly find new ways of improving.
